- Peninsula Health
- Rural sites
To be considered for clinical site representative, you must have:
- At least one rotation at the relevant site in 2012, OR

ELECTION PROCEDURE
Nomination questionnaire
All candidates must complete the nomination questionnaire (see separate document) which will be read by the MUSIG chairs. Only specific sections will be made available to the student body on the MUMUS website in the lead-up to online voting (eg. previous involvement in surgical activities, your vision for MUSIG. No personal contact details will be made public.).
Voting
Peer voting will take place online via a survey, specific details TBC.
As it is nearly impossible to restrict the voting population, in the online survey we will make clear that students should only vote for specific positions (eg. preclinical students should only vote for candidates running for preclinical representatives and secretary) to limit random voting.
Preclinical team
The top three second years and top three first years, as voted for by their peers, will comprise the preclinical central MUSIG team. Candidates must run individually and will form a first-second year pair during the first MUSIG full committee meeting. The preclinical representatives will run events as a team, with a different pair taking the lead for each event.
The elected Year A representatives will form part of the rural MUSIG team. It is preferable that candidates run in pairs for this particular position.
Clinical team
Candidates must nominate for specific clinical sites and should indicate their preferences on their nomination questionnaire. Candidates must be aware that they may not get their first preference. However, if the situation allows, once voted in and with mutual agreement from both representatives and the MUSIG chairs, students may swap clinical site responsibilities.
Similar to the preclinical central representatives, the clinical site representatives will be expected to work as a team, with the relevant site representative to take charge of each site’s event.
The 2012 MUSIG full committee will be announced at the conclusion of the Launch Event in March 2012, date TBC.
